What the heck is Long Term Care Insurance?
Long Term Care Insurance will pay for the high cost of receiving actual care if to were ever to get sick to the point where you needed help with eating bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, etc. If you got in a car accident and broke both of your legs–could not move. This type of insurance would pay for a person to come to your house and help cook, clean etc until you recovered. Long Term Care Insurance is also for people during retirement if they end up needing to go to a nursing home. A nursing home can cost in excess of $90,000 per year so it would not take too long to whip out a person’s life savings.
Why are we doing this?
Our founder’s mother has been dealing with Alzheimer’s for ten year now and he has had to being paying for her care each month because she finally ran out of money. She did not have long term care insurance so this opened his eyes to this huge problem that really all Americans now face.
Here’s a video on Long Term Care Insurance I found that goes over the problem from this outfit called LTC Tree. They seem to be nationwide based on their long term care site which is pretty good at giving the basics and dumbing the problem down so that people like our Jabber writers can easily understand. :) Click here to go to the main Long Term Care Insurance page.
